INTERPRETING SERVICES
El Paso SLI is here to assist in bridging the communication between the hearing and the Deaf or Hard of Hearing community. This communication can be virtual, in person, as a group, or in a one on one setting. El Paso SLI provides interpreting services that include but are not limited to: ASL, PSE, Trilingual, tactile, and close-vision. Our large pool of interpreters are pre-screened highly qualified. The majority hold a national or state certification. The interpreter will interpret the spoken language (English or Spanish) into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa providing interpretation in various settings. We have interpreters that are both bilingual and trilingual to interpret your communication needs that will exceed your expectations!

ASL Interpreter Code of Professional Conduct
All El Paso SLI Interpreters are required to follow a Code of Professional Conduct (CPC). Here are the 7 tenets to maintain a professional work ethics.
1) Interpreters adhere to standards of confidential communication.

2) Interpreters possess the professional skills and knowledge required for the specific interpreting situation.

3) Interpreters conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to the specific interpreting situation.

4) Interpreters demonstrate respect for consumers.
​
5) Interpreters demonstrate respect for colleagues, interns, and students of the profession.
​
6) Interpreters maintain ethical business practices.

7) Interpreters engage in professional development.
